The Samsung Electric Playground at Vivid and the Galaxy Studio at the First Fleet Park, Circular Quay in Sydney from Friday 24 May to Saturday 15 June are a must see.
GadgetGuy was among the select few to preview the Samsung Electric Playground at Vivid and let me tell you the 3,000 square metres is a must see.
The first space, the Samsung Electric Playground, is a celebration of light, sound and imagination powered by advanced mobile technology.
Those lucky enough to be in Sydney for Vivid can explore a multitude of experiences spanning an area over four basketball courts in size. These experiences are inspired by what the new Galaxy S10+ can do. Reverse charge poles light up when you place a Qi phone against them, and you fingerprint placed on Samsung’s ultrasonic under glass detector reveals your true colours.
There are more than 320 dynamic light poles, 23 of which will they can control directly; a light up dance floor; a 6.5-metre illuminated Infinity Slide; and an elevated view of picturesque Sydney Harbour from the Sky Walk platform amongst other must-see attractions.
The Samsung Galaxy Studio is, as you would expect all about the Samsung Galaxy S10 – although the product is not overtly in your face.
There is a room where your heartbeat (courtesy of the S10+) lights up a field of fibre optics and another where your iris inspires some fabulous images.
It is also the one easy place to see Samsung’s mobiles and wearables including the new Galaxy S10 5G launching on 28 May. If you own a recent Samsung phone, you can also get a free custom made a cover for it.
Finally, the Studio a one-of-a-kind interactive art piece by up-and-coming Australian artist George Rose and an Instagram area to provide the most Instagram-able experience at Vivid Sydney. Instagram’s trainers will be on hand at select times throughout the festival to teach guests how to expertly capture and share their Vivid Sydney content.
