Samsung Jet touchscreen phone – worldwide release June 16 (but not here)

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has shown off its latest touchscreen mobile phone, the Samsung Jet, which offfers the advanced features of a smartphone, but with the easy-to-use user interface of a conventional mobile phone.

Supporting the latest smartphone features including user-friendly menu navigations, multi-task manager and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Samsung Jet boasts world firsts in both display technology and speed of performance. Its 3.1 inch 16M WVGA AMOLED display offers the most vivid and colourful full touch mobile experience available. The WVGA AMOLED screen provides a resolution four times higher than a WQVGA screen. Its 800MHz application processor makes Jet the fastest full touch handset on the market today.

Samsung’s latest TouchWiz 2.0 user interface gives an unrivalled user experience and includes iconic new features such as motion UI, smart unlock and customisable widget screen.

Samsung’s Dolfin browser is designed to let users surf the net and access websites with ease and speed. Users can view up to 5 web pages simultaneously and bookmark their favourite websites as widgets on the phone’s homepage. The handset features a built in ad-blocker, multiple downloading, and multi-purpose address field, while Dolfin’s unique one finger zoom enables users to zoom in and out of web pages using only one hand.

Other multimedia features include a 5 megapixel camera, built-in GPS, DNSe & SRS Sound Effect technology for superior sound quality, and DivX and XviD video support for video downloading and viewing.
