Samsung The Frame 2018 brings art and TV together

The Frame 2018

When a TV is off its usually just a large black slab. Samsung’s The Frame 2018 addresses this with a curated selection of art and other useful information.

The second-generation of The Frame 2018 has new customisation options, features and hundreds of available works of art that transforms Australian living rooms into their art gallery.

At its heart it is a premium quality 43, 55 or 65” 4K UHD, HDR10+ smart TV with a customisable bezel to make it look just like a picture frame. And it has Samsungs elegant and practical one clear connection cable that allows the control box to be placed up to15 metres from the TV.

Hass Mahdi, Head of Audio Visual, Samsung Electronics Australia said

The Frame fits harmoniously into every Australian home. It has changed the way many Australians think about TVs role in the home. The Frame tackles the long-standing issue of a big blank screen that appears when you turn your TV off. Instead, your TV can now display an incredible array of local and international artwork that will enhance the appearance and ambience of your home.

You can now customise the look and feel of their home in a greater variety of ways. Samsung’s Art Store houses an ever-growing and diverse library of artwork and photos from some of the most prominent museums, galleries, and artists around the world. These include The Albertina, a leading Austrian art museum, Magnum Photos, one of the world’s most prestigious and influential photography agencies, and Lumas, a major Berlin-founded gallery for photography and art editions.

Enhancement to the user interface

The new user interface can browse different art pieces based on the colour scheme of a room, or search by a particular medium, like drawing or photography. The new Slideshow and Favourite features enabled you to curate your collection of masterpieces that will shuffle through at pre-set intervals.
