The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 offers by far the most features of any current Android slate – sorry tablet.
At the embargoed briefing we saw the successor to the Galaxy Tab S5e. We called that, “Samsung’s great Android tablet tradition refined”. The Galaxy Tab S6 does not simply refine that tradition again (it does) but throws in a few curve balls that make it the class-leading Android tablet by far.
Try an under-glass fingerprint sensor, or built-in DeX (no adapter required for a desktop Android experience), a new S Pen with Air Actions, full Microsoft Office and Outlook 365 compatibility, seamless integration into the Samsung Android smartphone ecosystem and a Book Cover Keyboard with a trackpad, pen cradle and a free angle kickstand.
Garry McGregor, Vice-President, IT & Mobile, Samsung Electronics Australia, said
“The Galaxy Tab S6 combines the best of mobile innovation in a refined form factor that is perfect for Australians seeking a tablet that supports mobile functionality, entertainment performance and productivity.
Australians’ expectations of tablets have evolved beyond simple media consumption. They now want a device that seamlessly adapts to their changing needs and enables them to do more both in their personal and professional pursuits, whether that’s delivering a presentation at work, creating content on the go, or enjoying a high-intensity gaming session on the commute home.”
What impressed me was the focus on making this 10.5-inch device not only a content consumption device but a content creation device.
