Samsung’s iPad competitor almost here

It hasn’t even been announced, but the hype is building up for the Galaxy Tab, Samsung’s first crack at the iPad. Expected to be announced in early September, it may have you putting off that iPad purchase until you see it.
The talk we’re hearing is putting this device in a 7-inch size with a very slick AMOLED screen. Much like the Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone handset released earlier this year, the tablet would run on Google’s Android operating system and be paired with at least 16GB built-in memory.
While we still don’t have a release date locally or a price, we’re hoping to see it later this year for a price under what Apple lists the iPad as. That would be quite nice.
