Sony expands Internet TV with MUBI

If you’ve got a Sony Bravia, Blu-ray player, or home theatre with support for Sony’s Internet TV offering, you now get a larger selection of channels to choose from.

Available from today, Sony has added the paid movie offering “MUBI” to its IPTV services, providing access to classic and international movies for $9.99 a month.

“The addition of MUBI to our growing collection of on-demand channels means there is now the broadest selection of quality film content available for our customers to choose from,” said Sharon Ashworth, Sony Australia’s Content Partnership Manager. “It’s all on-demand and ready to enjoy as soon as the device is connected to the internet, no apps to download or install.”

MUBI’s addition to the Sony Internet TV services joins the service on the PlayStation 3, made available last year. Sony’s IPTV offerings now feature 28 channels, including ABC iView, SBS, Plus7, QuickFlix and the WiggleTime! TV.
