Star Wars fanboys rejoice: there’s an Xbox coming for you!

For the R2-D2 and Han Solo obsessed, look out: Microsoft has announced a special limited edition Star Wars Xbox 360 console arriving in time for the holiday season.

Unveiled at the annual comic, TV, movie, and all things “sci-fi” convention in San Diego – Comic-Con – the new variant of the Xbox 360 console is being released to coincide with the Star Wars Kinect game, a new title set in the Star Wars universe that’ll let you perform actions without the aid of a controller and really feel like you’re a part of the action.

The Star Wars Xbox pack features a custom R2-D2 themed Xbox 360 with sounds more like that of a droid, a white Kinect sensor (as opposed to the regular black one everyone else gets), a C-3PO gold Xbox 360 controller, 320GB hard drive, Xbox 360 wired headset, and a copy of the Star Wars Kinect game.

Both the game and the console will be heading to retailers this Christmas season, but we expect that if you want the special edition console, you’ll want to get a pre-order in now, with the bundle hitting a $599 RRP locally.
