The Curious Case of Benjamin Button on TiVo June 3

Hybrid Television Services (ANZ) Pty Limited have announced the release of the Academy Award winning film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button as a movie download direct to TiVo media devices coinciding with the film’s official DVD release date. This release is made available via the new Blockbuster movies on-demand service launched on the TiVo media device in April of this year.

Without any need to leave the comfort of the lounge room – or subscribe to pay TV, TiVo customers can now experience this latest Hollywood film the same day it arrives in DVD/video rental stores.

This simultaneous release represents an Australian-first for Video-on-Demand (VOD). The 2008 film starring Brad Pitt, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, will be available from June 3 through the Blockbuster video on-demand service on TiVo.

The film, adapted (Editor’s note: and adapted is the right word, the two stories are very different, mainly only sharing the aging backwards plot device) from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. Directed by David Fincher, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a time traveller’s tale of the people and places he bumps into along the way, the loves he lost and found, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.
