Camcorder prices are dropping like flies lately, and Toshiba is throwing in one more just in time for your holiday shopping.
Toshiba’s Camileo X400 provides a handheld video camera with 1080p Full HD capture, 3 inch touchscreen LCD, electronic image stabilisation, face tracking, and smile detection, with an SD card slot and miniUSB for transfer back to your computer.
There’s also 23x optical zoom for getting in close and a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor, although Toshiba says that the X400 is capable of making up to 16 megapixel images.
The company is cutting it close for getting it to retail shelves, though, with a shelf date of December 19. Lucky that the price isn’t too bad, fetching $349 when it lands next week.
