Toshiba to shrink the 10 inch AT100 tablet to a 7 inch size

Toshiba’s debut AT100 tablet will be joined with a new smaller version of itself, with the company announcing a 7 inch variant of the tablet.

Literally a smaller version of the original tablet, this new model features the Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, Google’s Android Honeycomb tablet operating system, Toshiba’s Resolution+ technology, 5 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera, and a 7 inch screen sporting the same 1280×800 HD resolution the original 10 inch model had.

Connectivity still seems to be the name of the game for Toshiba, with the new model featuring a mini-USB port, micro-HDMI, and a microSD card slot, each of these replacing the full size options appearing on the original AT100.

While Toshiba has yet to announce an Australian release date for the new tablet, we can’t imagine it’ll be too far behind, with news expected in the coming days.
