Unboxing: Microsoft Arc Touch mouse

Microsoft hasn’t made many noteworthy mice in recent years, but when we heard about the new Arc Touch, we had to see it for ourselves.

The new wireless mouse features a smooth back when turned off, but switches to a curved back that sits under a cupped hand when powered on.

Microsoft’s middle scroll wheel is also flat but springs to life when you touch it, with more functionality than just a typical vertical scroll wheel.

Two AAA batteries drive this thing, with Microsoft’s BlueTrack optical technology making the mouse work on pretty much any material that isn’t transparent or reflective.
