VidZone from Sony – on-demand music video service, now live

VidZone, the on-demand music video service for PlayStation 3 (PS3) from Sony Computer Entertainment Australia (SCE Aust.), is confirmed to go live across Australia tonight. VidZone is a brand new, free service that gives you the freedom to view thousands of music videos on demand by streaming them directly to your PS3 and onto your TV screen – complete with surround sound.

It’s launching with a bang and it’s packed with a huge library of over 10,000 videos, with much more on the way.

VidZone is completely free and extremely easy to use. Just download the free VidZone application from PlayStation Store, find it under the ‘music’ icon on your PS3’s XrossMediaBar menu and you’re away. You don’t have to watch somebody else’s choice of music – you’re in complete control here. Select single videos to watch on their own – with the option of rewinding and fast-forwarding – or create your own library of streaming music and make custom playlists for every occasion. Whether you want a playlist for a living-room workout or a house party – or whether you just want to check out your favourite musician’s dance moves or guitar fretwork – VidZone gives you all the options and puts you in complete control. You can even create a playlist via PSP (PlayStation Portable) and have it waiting for you on PS3 when you get home.
