Whirlpool Australia today announced a price increase effective the April 1. This price increase will only impact Whirlpool branded Refrigeration and Laundry products. The prices of the Cooking and Dishwasher categories, as well as the Maytag brand, will remain unchanged.
Emerson Valle, Vice President for Whirlpool Oceania (Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands) said “The recent devaluation and volatility of the Australian dollar had now unfortunately made a price increase unavoidable for the Refrigeration and Laundry categories”.
Mr Valle continued, “Whirlpool Australia is continuing to re-engineer its Supply Chain and the value benefits of this project will be communicated to and realised by our Trade partners shortly.”
Official price changes will be issued to the trade partners and customers in the next few days.
