Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE 10K Power Bank with Lightning Connector

BOOST↑CHARGE

The Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE 10K Power bank (10,000mAh) is specifically for Apple products. It is the first to use a Lighting charge port and receive Apple MFi certification.

The $89.95 BOOST↑CHARGE 10K power bank (website here) has two outputs. One for iPhones at 5V/1A (5W – not fast charge) and one for iPad and iPhone at 5V/2.4A(12W) – slightly faster charging.

Its aimed at Apple users that don’t want to carry additional chargers.

BOOST↑CHARGE

Belkin claim it delivers up to 70 hours more battery life to an iPhone 8 (1,821mAh) and 19 hours to an iPad (model not specified).

A standard Apple iPhone Lightning charger delivers 5V/1A (5W) a full recharge will take 20 hours! Using a 5V/2.4A (12A) charger, this reduces to 8 hours.

Belkin provide a 2-year warranty and a $2,500 connected equipment warranty.

Belkin recommend a BOOST↑CHARGE Home Charger with Lightning to USB ChargeSync Cable (12 watt/2.4 Amp) F8J125au04-WHT  for best results when charging your BOOST↑CHARGE10K Power Bank.

GadgetGuy’s take: Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE 10K Power Bank with Lightning Connector

Apple iPhones prior to the 8 series will not work with higher wattages. The iPhone 8 or later can use the 5V/6A (29/30W – fast charger) for a quick charge of 50% in 30 minutes. However, this charger cannot be used with the BOOST↑CHARGE 10K Power Bank.

If you have a latter device (or iPad), you maybe interested in GadgetGuy’s article on USB-C Power delivery 2.0 power banks here. These would require a USB-A to Lightning cable.
