Sennheiser at CES 2020 showed off its speakerless immersive car sound that reduces the weight of conventional car audio by up to 90% and adds Ambeo ‘mobility’ immersive sound.

Sennheiser at CES 2020 saw revolutionary new technology developed by Sennheiser and Continental Ac2acted that uses select surfaces in the vehicle interior to produce sound – not a speaker in sight. Apart from weight and space-saving – vital for EVs – it ‘transforms the vehicle into an instrument.”

Specially developed actuators excite specific surfaces in the vehicle interior. The result is an extremely natural sound experience for the occupants, who feel as if they are sitting in a concert hall surrounded by sound. At the same time, the invisible audio technology gives vehicle designers and manufacturers the freedom to do more with an automobile’s interior.
