If you thought that Apple, Samsung or Motorola were leading the fight to make the world’s thinnest phone, think again, with Huawei showing off a new model at CES that manages to be even thinner than the competition.
The new Huawei Ascent P1 S manages to pack in a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD screen (960×540), dual-core 1.5GHz processor, and Corning’s scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass.
Google’s latest operating system will also be packed in here, with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich arriving on the phone out of the box.
What’s more, the Ascent P1 S also features an 8 megapixel rear camera packed into 6.68mm thin body.
Previously, Motorola’s new RAZR held the world’s thinnest title, with that phone featuring a 7.1mm thickness.
WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, and a 1.3 megapixel front camera are all included in Huawei’s new phone, which we’re told should be available in Australia from April this year.
