ZTE has beaten most smartphone makers with the release of the ZTE Axon 30 – one of the first to ‘not show off’ its invisible, under-display, selfie camera for full screen, uninterrupted visuals.
It uses a 16MP sensor under a seven-layer transparency and a special UDC Pro Display chip to manage the screen’s transparency and overall screen performance. To quote ZTE
A qualitative leap in front camera invisibility and display performance, powered by its six core technologies, including the special pixel matrix, unique driver circuits, independent display chip, front camera, in-house selfie algorithm, and larger light-sensitive 4-in-1, 2.24um equivalent large pixel (low light) camera

GadgetGuy’s take
ZTE has always been an innovator. Its recent release of the incredible ZTE RedMagic 6 Pro 5G (review here 9.3/10) has a few firsts, including a 165Hz display and an incredible 172% sRGB and 122% DCI-P3 AMOLED display. At the time of writing, ZTE is giving away this amazing phone in a GadgetGuy competition.
ZTE aims to price the ZTE Axon 30 competitively. It is approx. US$340 (approx A$500), which would make it both a class and price leader.
