There was a lot of smart home gear at CES 2026. But of all the smart home gadgets I saw while overseas, some of the best devices came from TP-Link and its Tapo sub-brand.

We’ve covered Tapo’s C465D solar security camera and TP-Link’s ‘AiReal’ AI assistant previously, which are worth looking out for. Particularly AiReal, which talked me through a Wi-Fi network setup. It could even answer queries about what an Ethernet cable looks like, so it’s designed to help people of all levels of tech knowledge.

Of course, I saw plenty of other gadgets, like palm-detecting door locks and smart baby cameras. One of the surprises was a concept robot vacuum that dehumidifies the air and purifies most of its dirty water for reuse, reducing the amount of water used. There’s way too much to get into here, so you can see it all in action on GadgetGuy‘s YouTube channel.

Valens Quinn attended CES 2026 as a guest of Samsung, LG, Hisense, Belkin, Ecovacs, Asus, TP-Link, Reolink, Roborock, and Aiper.
