Two new cleaning appliances from Roborock have launched in Australia: the F25 Ultra wet-dry vacuum, and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow robot vacuum, both of which lean toward the premium end of their respective categories.

Unlike some robot vacuums that come with rather bold and imposing docking stations, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow has a rather cute-looking station. Dome-shaped, it’s more rounded than the sharp and angular look of many other robot vacuum docks.

More importantly, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow has some intriguing cleaning tech under the hood. Roborock says it employs a unique self-cleaning mop technology that keeps it topped up with fresh water while it goes to work. It also reportedly applies 2.5 times more mopping pressure than the previous Curv Flow model.

Priced at $2,499 in Australia, the Curv 2 Flow uses up to 20,000Pa of suction power to vacuum dust and debris. It’s joined by an anti-tangle brush system that I’m keen to see how it handles clumps of pet fur.

As has become standard among premium robot cleaners, Roborock’s new appliance washes and dries its mops when docked at its station. Here, it uses 75°C hot water to freshen up.

The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is available to order via Roborock’s online store. As part of a launch promotion, it comes with a Roborock F25 RT wet-dry vacuum valued at $599.

Mop it like it’s hot

The Roborock F25 Ultra occupies the brand’s top billing among its wet-dry vacuum range. Where the $599 F25 RT model sits at the more affordable end of the spectrum, the $1,499 F25 Ultra is Roborock’s only model to include steam cleaning.

According to Roborock, the F25 Ultra’s steam reaches 180°C, while taking only a minute to get up to temperature. By the time it exits the appliance, it’s still a quite toasty 150°C. If you’re worried about the impact of steam on wooden flooring and the like, Roborock claims that its technology doesn’t cause any damage.

Other than mopping and steaming, the wet-dry vacuum sucks up debris with 22,000Pa of suction power. Similar to other high-end wet-dry vacs, the F25 Ultra uses a comb scraper to prevent hair and fur from getting tangled.

In between, the appliance uses a hot water self-cleaning and drying system, leaving it fresh for the next bit of cleaning. It’s like what the robot appliances use, albeit at a higher 90°C temperature.

If you’re keen on the steam-powered wet-dry vacuum, the Roborock F25 Ultra is available to order online and at Harvey Norman starting on 17 October.
