When did tablets get so big? I recently went hands-on with the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which is a whopping 14.6-inch tablet that’s only 5.1mm thin.
Despite Samsung’s insistence that its latest tablet isn’t meant to be a laptop replacement, the Tab S11 Ultra very well could be, depending on your needs. Starting at $2,099 in Australia, the tablet certainly hits laptop-level pricing.
Included with the tablet is Samsung’s new-look S Pen stylus. More pencil-like in shape, with a hexagonal design, it’s designed to enable an all-in-one creative workstation. This upgraded S Pen also comes with the base 11-inch Tab S11 tablet, priced at a more affordable $1,399.
Samsung also went to work on improving the DeX second-screen experience, including more flexibility in app window placements. Even though the new tablets work with laptops and external displays, they look like a pretty self-contained ecosystem in their own right.
