Sydneysiders keen to see the latest and greatest in technology and video games are in for a treat, with SXSW Sydney adding more free events to its ‘Unlocked’ schedule than ever.
Now in its third year, SXSW Sydney has thrown open its doors to The Innovation Expo and Games Showcase, making them free to attend for the first time. On Saturday, 18 October, anyone can visit ICC Sydney to check out Roo-ver, the Aussie-made lunar rover, and play a range of new and unreleased games.
Browsing the list of confirmed games, Pro Jank Footy stands out, as does Is This Seat Taken? and Go-Go Town! Leading into the weekend, SXSW Sydney Unlocked also plays host to a week full of free events spanning music, film, and all things culture at Tumbalong Park.
It’s a nice taster for those who can’t afford a conference pass or wristband to what looks like a fascinating week when SXSW Sydney kicks off on 13 October. All the event details are online now.
