VS Sassoon has created a hairdryer that self winds its 1.7 metre power cord, at the press of a button, inside the actual hairdryer. The cord rewind takes the power cord length from 1.7 metres to 0 cm in seconds.
Called the VS Sassoon Retra-Cord 2000 ($59.95 RRP) this hairdryer features tourmaline-ceramic and ionic-ceramic technology.
About tourmaline-ceramic technology
Tourmaline is a semi-precious crystal and a natural source of negative ions and far- infrared (FIR) rays. The negative ions from tourmaline eliminate static in the hair, while the infrared rays assist in the deep penetration of heat, speeding up the drying process and, according to VS Sassoon, preventing hair damage. When used on wet hair, tourmaline technology works to ionize and alkalize moisture and provides antibacterial and deodorant qualities.
About ceramic-ionic technology
This technology makes styling easier by neutralizing static charge in the air while the ionic element promotes healthy conditioned hair. The ceramic element is the key to distributing heat without any hot spots so hair dries evenly and uniformly, helping create shiny hair.
The VS Sassoon Retra-Cord 2000 Dryer has two speed and three heat settings for a range of hair types, a cool shot button to set a style, a slimline concentrator and a removable rear filter to help with cleaning and to potentially prolong the hairdryerrs lifespan. It comes with a two year warranty.
