Kambrook reveals a stand mixer priced for all

There are those of us at GadgetGuy who love going home and cooking, mixing, baking, and generally making things fit for consumption by mouths. One of the better tools for this is, of course, the stand mixer, but these can carry a premium.

While we’re not quite up to forking out the $700 or so for a Kitchenaid just yet, Kambrook – the sister company of Breville – has announced a solution that costs but a fraction of what competitors charge.

Kambrook’s solution for budding chefs is the PowerMix Stand Mixer (KSM400), a mixer with a 600 watt motor that features 12 speed settings and two stainless steel bowls, comprising of one 4 litre and one 1.8 litre.

The head is adjustable and the accessories can be ejected easily thanks to an eject button, so about the only thing missing now is a retro colour scheme.

From what we’re hearing, that’s not likely to happen here, as Kambrook’s PowerMix Stand Mixer is only available in a shiny stainless steel look, but at least the cost of beige paint hasn’t been added to the bill, with a recommended retail price of $129.95.

Availability should be around now, though if you don’t see it immediately in store, wait a couple of weeks, as this is properly new from Kambrook.
