Lenovo quad-core tablet to possibly launch before 2012

Not many months left before 2011 ends, and here are with some interesting news: while Asus preps its quad-core Tegra 3 tablet for release, Lenovo is planning a possible  tablet powered by the same chip to be released within the next few weeks.

The new tablet won’t just feature Nvidia’s new quad-core Tegra 3 processor, but will be one of the first devices to arrive with Google’s next generation of Android – 4.0, “Ice Cream Sandwich”.

The tablet – expected to be a 10.1 inch model – will reportedly come with a USB port, rear camera, and even a fingerprint scanner that can also act as an optical mouse.

Only the second quad-core tablet we’ve heard about since Nvidia officially announced the Tegra 3 chip last week, this could be enough to push Lenovo further in the tablet field.
