Miele has announced two new vacuum cleaners, S 4211 and S 4211 Parquet which are suited to townhouses and apartments, thanks to their compact designs.
The S 4211 ($349 RRP) and S 4211 Parquet ($449 RRP) have motors with a maximum input power of 2,000 watts and 3.5 litre IntensiveClean PLUS dust bags which Miele claims are the most effective and hygienic way of removing dust from floors.
Miele also claims these dust bags retain more tiny particles and allergens than conventional paper dust bags and account for a reduction in dust emissions of up to 50% when combined with the SuperAirClean filter found on these machines.
For ease of use, an indexed rotary selector switch makes operation simple.
Both the lemon yellow S 4211 (pictured above) and the electric blue S 4211 Parquet come with an upholstery nozzle, dusting brush and crevice nozzle on the handle. By paying an extra $100 to buy the electric blue S 4211 Parquet, pictured below, you get the SBB 235-3 hard floor brush which sweeps and vacuums hard floors without scratching tiles, parquetry or delicate floorboards. The S 4211 Parquet also has a stainless steel telescopic wand which can be adjusted at the touch of a button to easily manoeuvre into hard to reach areas and retracts for compact storage.
