Sharp Corporation of Australia has released its latest Home Cinema Rack system, the ANPR1500H. This popular all-in-one home entertainment stand with inbuilt quality audio system now offers the latest digital features, including HDMI out (1080i) and USB host.
Strong and sturdy enough to support LCD televisions up to 52 inches, Sharp’s combination stand/audio solution is just as powerful when it comes to sound reproduction, delivering a big 300W RMS from the unit’s inbuilt digital amplifier.
The 2.1ch front surround system produces exceptionally rich sound quality via two 75W front speakers and dual 75W subwoofers located separately within each leg of the stand. For music-only listening, the unit’s dedicated menu option allows separate control of the subwoofer volume.
The ANPR1500H also features Dolby’s ‘Audistry’ enhancement technology which delivers more enriched lower bass along with a virtual 5.1 surround effect and a broader, more encompassing feel.
Optional audio modes include cinema, news, music and sport plus a night function that limits bass and treble volumes to help minimise disturbance to others in the home. Other features include FM digital tuner, Clock/Timer/Sleep function and an energy saving 0.6 W or less power consumption in standby mode.
Connectivity is streamlined and straightforward with a range of audio inputs including: digital optical input x 2, analogue input x 3, digital coaxial input as well as two microphone terminals for Karaoke. The system has HDMI out (1080i type), USB host, digital optical output, composite video out, S-video and DVD component out.
Switching between these functions is simply achieved using either the remote control or manually via the front panel. The remote control also has the functionality for use with TVs from a wide range of manufacturers.
Simple and quick to assemble, the cabinet simply needs the glass and metal tabletop to be fitted and it’s ready for connection to the other AV equipment. Designed to complement Sharp’s AQUOS range of LCD televisions, the ANPR1500H features a shiny piano black finish to stylishly blend with either traditional or contemporary decors. Also the remote control of the DVD cinema rack system is synchronised with the current AQUOS LCD TV range to make it possible to control basic TV functions using only one remote control.
