TEAC PCDV125L – video wow in a boombox

TEAC has covered some weird ground in the design area with its PCDV125L.

This unit mates an LCD screen with a conventional-looking boombox in what TEAC describes as a portable DVD player. At 447 x 246 x 166 mm, the unit is, in fact, massive by any ‘portable DVD player’ standards, but for $299 you get multi-region DVD playback out of the box, radio and CD functions, a JPEG viewer thanks to the USB and SD and MMC card slots, and a 7 inch screen for your viewing pleasure.

And it’ll run off eight ‘C’ type batteries, too, in true shoulder-carrying boombox fashion.
