Salton Australia, marketers of Russell Hobbs appliances, has released the aptly named Whisper Kettle thatts claimed to be whisper quiet, making up to 97% less noise when heating and boiling than its competitors.
Salton has called this low noise technology boiltecc technology which works by concealing the heating element within the 1.7 litre, 2,200 watt kettle. The kettle, model 3087 ($69.95 RRP) has a removable filter, water level indicator, illuminated on/off switch and a soft touch handle. It also comes with cord storage and a multi directional 360 degree base, making the kettle easy to access from any angle. Choose from a brushed or polished stainless steel look.
