Who will be Australia’s next top young inventor?

The competition is heating up in the search for Australia’s next top young inventor. Finalists in the highly sought after Australian Design Award-Dyson Student Award were announced in late March, bringing 13 students one step closer to the grand prize. The winner will be announced at Australia’s product design industry “night of nights” – the Australian International Design Awards on Friday 30th May 2008.

“It’s gratifying to see the market potential of these product ideas and prototypes. This award is highly regarded in the industry and has proven to secure past award-winners entry into respected Australian design studios and internationally renowned product design teams,” states Stephanie Watson, Manager of the Australian International Design Awards.

“Judging this year was challenging with the calibre of projects extremely high. The students have put enormous effort into the development of their ideas and in providing actual solutions to real problems we face every day,” Ross Cameron, Managing Director of Dyson SEA comments.
