People you know in real life might just be the key to saving your online life, with Facebook unveiling a concept designed to help you recover your profile if it ever gets hacked.
The new “Trusted Friends” security idea allows you to select between three and five Facebook friends you trust, and when you have problems with logging into your account – such as when you forget your password or if someone hacks in and changes details – Facebook will send an assortment of codes to those selected friends.
An email will also be sent to your main account and with the help of your friends, you’ll be able to prove your identity and login to your Facebook account.
