Acer accidentally reveals a quad-core Full HD tablet on the horizon

That new Nvidia quad-core Tegra 3 chip is really getting around, with an accidental find on Acer’s support site claiming it’ll be in a new soon-to-be-released tablet. But that’s not all it will have.

Based on a file left on the Acer support site, it seems that the A700 and A701 models will feature a 1080p screen, although the screen size is still something of a mystery. With that sort of resolution, it would make sense to see a 10.1 inch screen, but the “7” in the model name may indicate a smaller tablet.

The support document also suggests two versions – one WiFi and the other a WiFi/3G model – each supporting Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor.

There’s no word on when Acer will make these official, although we can’t imagine that it’ll be too far off, given that these leaks were found on the company’s own website.
