Navman unveils dash cam that blends seamlessly with your new car

Navman has introduced a new range of devices specifically designed for new car owners seeking to protect their vehicles with a factory-fitted look at a fraction of the cost. The MiVue ALTA dash cam range features a sleek vertical front camera that discreetly integrates next to the sensor box (rear view mirror), so drivers can barely see it. Despite its small size, the ALTA provides all the essential features modern drivers need, according to Navman.

Tailored for Australian and New Zealand drivers

Wendy Hammond, Managing Director of Navman ANZ, shared that the company developed the MiVue ALTA range with Australian and New Zealand new car owners in mind.

The range offers clear footage of accidents, GPS coordinates, speed data, and a 3-Axis G-Sensor to provide crucial information, such as the direction of impact. The MiVue ALTA range starts at $329.

Easy-to-use and feature-packed

The MiVue ALTA records in Full HD 1080P with optimized day/night recording for improved visibility of details, such as road signs and number plates. The device also includes event recording, which triggers instantly upon any impact and securely saves the footage to the included 32GB Endurance SD card. The dash cams come with premium safety camera alerts and audible safety reminders for school zones, railway crossings, and accident blackspots, which can be updated monthly via Wi-Fi.

MiVue ALTA models and availability

The MiVue ALTA range comprises three models:

  • MiVue ALTA: Single front camera (RRP $329)
  • MiVue ALTA DC: Two cameras recording front and back (RRP $499)
  • MiVue ALTA Workmate XDC (RRP $549): Designed and tested especially for Australian utes and small trucks, featuring an external rear Full HD waterproof camera mounted above the number plate and a 10-metre cable for extra-long trays.

The range also offers parking mode with the addition of an optional SmartBox ($79). This feature triggers the dash cam to record automatically if your vehicle is bumped when parked and the engine is off, capturing five seconds prior to impact and 15 seconds after.

The MiVue ALTA range is now available from leading retailers and www.navman.com.au.
