Apple announcement coming September 10 (AU time), will it be the new iPhone?

You knew it was coming, and here it is: Apple is announcing something, possibly two somethings, with September 9 in America (September 10 locally) holding all the answers according to an invite that’s gone out.

The invite is done in your typical Apple style, with a date, a logo, and a tagline that could hint at things to come.

Current rumours are suggesting two iPhone models are on the way, both playing to customers keen to have a larger screened option, with a 4.7 inch model and a 5.5 inch variant likely, though we’re curious if Apple will also keep a smaller 4 inch model around at the same time to quell any anger from people who like the smaller display.

If that happens, there would be three several models of iPhone, not just the new iPhone and the older iPhone models, as Apple’s current model works.

There’s also the possibility of a smart watch, a new iPad, and a new Mac, with that word “more” drawing the expectation of something unexpected.

In any case, we’ll let you know when it happens. We hope to have someone on the ground from San Francisco reporting live on the day on September 9, which for us will be September 10.

Stay tuned.
