The Samsung 2019 TV and soundbar range is huge – 24 models over seven ‘families’ including three 8K QLEDs that have to be seen to be believed. And seven soundbars as well.

Thomas will overview the launch event and add his expert impressions. He was the one asking questions that Samsung’s otherwise knowledgeable staff said, “I will have to get back to you on that.”

- Improved SmartHub interface that auto identifies most connected devices
- Dedicated Netflix, Amazon Prime and Internet keys
- Intelligent Adaptive Brightness and sound across the range
- AI upscaling to 4K simulation uses a database of millions of low and high-resolution video clips analysed by machine learning to create unique formulae to detect and restore edges, and recreate unique textures to help reduce visible picture noise from

- Ambient Mode on QLED range now has improved smartphone app for more functionality

It is clear that Samsung want to fill every niche and help create early demand for 8K – despite lack of content the upscaling is impressive.
