New Jasper Morrison-designed cookware from Samsung

Industrial designer Jasper Morrison’s philosophy of combining art with functional practicality is demonstrated once again with the launch of a new cookware range for Samsung Electronics Australia.

The Jasper designed oven – BT65FQBPST ($1,899) – and fast cook microwave – CQ-138TS ($899) – integrate Samsung’s unique and innovative technological features with Morrison’s smooth design, creating a strong style statement for your kitchen whilst also providing time and energy efficient products.

As well as Morrison’s BT65FQBPST, another built-in model the BT621FSST ($999) offers Samsung’s unique Twin Convection technology, to help simplify the cooking experience. This technology allows two separate dishes to be cooked simultaneously at different temperatures and times, without mixing aromas. A removable shelf separates the oven cavity into 30 litre and 32 litre capacities, as well as automating a dual control system and LED display, to ensure full control of both compartments independently. Removing the shelf transforms the built-in unit into an over-sized, 65 litre oven, perfect for larger dishes.

Samsung’s unique Twin Convection technology has also been awarded an ‘A’ class rating for energy efficiency in each separate space. This technology allows the consumer to heat only half the oven space when cooking smaller dishes, saving energy and ensuring minimum impact on the environment.

As well as minimising your carbon footprint, Samsung’s cookware range will also limit the users time spent cleaning after cooking. All products use either a steam clean or pyrolytic cleaning function. Steam cleaning breaks up dirt and grease in only 25 minutes enabling the user to easily wipe the cavity clean while pyrolytic cleaning heats the oven to 500 degrees C to burn off any food deposits left from cooking. All these functions provide the consumer with a more relaxing and pain free kitchen experience.
