Samsung has released its first HD camcorder with flash memory in a line up of new digital camcorders. The new compact camcorder is small enough to fit in a bag, making capturing life’s moments easy, especially on the go.
The HMX10C records directly to the 8GB of internal flash memory, which means no more juggling tapes, memory cards or DVDs. Because there are no moving parts as part of the recording process, the flash memory also delivers an added bonus – longer lasting battery life.
The camcorder offers easy file transfer from the flash memory to PC, so users can upload to their laptop or PC and relive the moment in a flash. The HMX10C makes it easy to share files and upload user-generated content to social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace.
For the High-Definition enthusiast, the HMX10C delivers hi-res video – but not the 1080i resolution video produced by Sony, Panasonic and Canon HD camcorders. This model captures life in HD (720p) and let’s people enjoy HD playback on the camcorder’s 7 cm (2.7 inch) high-resolution touch panel LCD screen, or it can be connected to a HD TV to enjoy in the living or family room.
The HMX10C also includes 50 frames-per-second progressive technology to provide consumers with smoother, more professional video capture. The HMX10C also has the ability to record directly to a removable SDHC card.
Additional features include a 10x optical zoom, 20x digital zoom, and 90-minute battery life.
The camcorder has been carefully designed to fit comfortably into the user’s hand without sacrificing style. The unique Swivel Handgrip – able to rotate through 150 degrees – provides an easy way for consumers to not only hold the camcorder, but to also shoot video at very low or high angles.
The HMX10C also features the new i-Check button, which provides status information on remaining battery time and memory capacity.
