Watch
There aren’t many things you can buy an Apple Watch owner, but we’ve done some digging to find out what you can get.
Apple Watch strap
Price: from $79
So it turns out there aren’t a lot of options when it comes to buying accessories for an Apple Watch owner, but you can always get them a new strap.
Before you do, though, find out what sized watch they have, with small or large. The smaller Apple Watch uses a 38m strap while the larger sits at 42mm.
You can’t fit a 38mm to a 42mm, nor can you go the opposite way, so make sure you pick appropriately!
Twelve South HiRise
Price: $70
The least expensive way to make the Apple Watch charger look a little cooler and less, you know, basic, the Twelve South HiRise takes the charger everyone gets in the box and wires it up in a special case, allowing you to charge the watch standing up and facing the world.
Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock
Price: $130
Apple’s take on the Watch dock isn’t just to let people go with the accessory their shiny gadget comes with, because they can always buy something to leave on the nightstand at home and use that other one on the road.
Released only recently, the Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock is pretty much exactly what it says: a charging dock with a small magnet made for an Apple Watch.
Sure, it’s not a complicated present, but at least it’s a semi-helpful one.
Belkin Charge Dock for Apple Watch and iPhone
Price: $190
Without doubt the best of the docks we’ve seen for the Apple Watch, Belkin’s Charge Dock delivers everything you want in an Apple Watch charger, with the ability to charge both an iPhone and an Apple Watch in one hit.
It’s also shiny, solid, and chrome, because these things apparently matter.
Apple Watch
Price: from $500
And then there’s the Apple Watch itself, which ranges in price from $500 to, well, how much money do you have?
Depending on how much you like the person, this could be the fanciest gadget you’ll buy this holiday season.
iPad
Finally, there’s the iPad, and the one of the world’s most popular tablets has some pretty awesome accessories available.
FiftyThree Pencil
Price: $80 to $90
Fancy a stylus for your iPad drawing that feels like a pencil?
The makers of the hit “Paper” app might have one that fits the bill, with a wide stylus made from wood and supporting Bluetooth, while bringing a magnet into the design so the Pencil sits nicely on the side of an iPad.
Logi Blok
Price: $100
Logitech’s change to “Logi” was a bit of a surprise this year, but so was its creative take on the iPad case, which wasn’t to slim down, but rather to thicken up, making a large plastic exterior that makes the iPad look different and feel solid.
This is one of those cases worth looking into if you fancy something that looks like it’ll go the distance.
Incipio ClamCase Pro
Price: $199
Our favourite of the keyboard cases this year, the Incipit-owned ClamCase Pro basically turns the iPad Air 2 into a full on laptop, just without a mouse.
The hinge on the keyboard case is one of those 360 degree varieties, so you can still use the iPad like a tablet if need be, but if you prefer to type — and you love to do so — this offers one of the most laptop-like experiences we’ve felt on a tablet to date.
Apple iPad Mini 4
Price: from $569
Updated this year, Apple’s take on the smaller tablet now offers much the same technology as its big brother, but encased in a smaller body.
This is one of those devices that will be super handy for anyone who wants an iPad Air 2, but isn’t sure the bigger almost ten-inch-size is ideal for them, with the iPad Mini 4 sitting pretty at 7.9 inches.
Apple iPad Air 2
Price: from $699
It may well be a year old, but Apple’s iPad Air 2 is still one of the best tablets around, delivering solid specs, a fantastic screen, and a build quality that will make you wonder why more things aren’t made with this amount of precision and care.
